Six am rises with the sun. Although it cannot be seen, the unmistakable sight of the sun coming over the chapel is breath taking. With the forcefulness of thunder come the voices from below, breakfast is being contemplated by some. Eventually we make our way down, introductions happen and we all travel off to Tuscan Hall for the first day of who knows what.
Roy makes his way in, dressed for comfort. Blue jeans and a sport coat. As the day progresses it is very evident that this is a portion of the trip I expected, but is nothing like I imagined. The comforts are here with the looming dragon over their shoulder. Everywhere you turn you see something that has to have meaning, but what? Everything is placed specifically where it is, but why?
I spend an amazing moment with a woman who is on her journey. Many here are seeking knowledge, but there is more to these journeys. We play the dance. We talk in tongues of the Academy, but the message is not said. We can both see it, we can both feel it, we both know it, but it is indescribable. The encounter was delightfully frightful. We laughed at nothing.
By the end of the day I had to know. Why this place? Why here? I fought the resistance and asked. I was rewarded with the answer. It was an answer I have given before. Because I need to fix things that are broken. The path is very evident in this rabbit hole to nowhere.
